My path is defined by pioneering interdisciplinary work, creativity, and the integration of art and science.
My artworks, often satirical and focused on ethics and culture, are created using essential colours.
I like to transpose uncomfortable themes into works infused with a direct and accessible aesthetic—almost like an advertising poster—with the aim of making them universally engaging while stimulating reflection and awareness.
It is the simplicity of the images that makes my work immediately perceivable, while the elements of dissonance reinforce its sarcastic and subversive character.

Il Dono: storie di Coraggio, Tenacia e Amore
A graphic novel about the history of heart transplantation in Italy
This is an 80-page graphic novel that explores four interconnected stories from the history of Italian cardiac surgery and heart transplantation. The project has recently been printed and currently presented as an exhibition project and publishing initiative prior to its public distribution.
The narrative begins with the story of Professor Vincenzo Gallucci, the pioneering cardiac surgeon who performed the first heart transplant in Italy in 1985 at the University of Padua. His vision, determination and commitment to promoting organ donation laid the foundations for a new era in Italian medicine.
The graphic novel then follows the journey of Professor Gino Gerosa, one of Italy’s leading cardiac surgeons, whose career continued and expanded Gallucci’s legacy through groundbreaking innovations in heart transplantation, artificial hearts and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
Alongside these medical pioneers, the book tells the stories of two patients whose lives were transformed by transplantation: Pietro Zorzetto, the first person in Italy to live with a total artificial heart before receiving a transplant, and Mirko Bernardinello, recipient of Italy’s first heart transplant from a donation-after-circulatory-death donor.
Developed through interviews, archival research and direct testimonies, the project combines scientific history with personal narratives, exploring themes of resilience, innovation, generosity and hope. A unique aspect of the project is that much of its conception and visual development took place aboard passenger ships, where I work as a psychologist. The experience of life at sea influenced the rhythm and atmosphere of the narrative, creating an unusual dialogue between medicine, human experience and artistic storytelling.
The graphic novel was produced to commemorate the legacy of the first heart transplant performed in Italy in 1985 and to celebrate the extraordinary individuals—surgeons, patients, donors and families—whose stories continue to inspire new generations. Through the language of comics, my solo exhibition A Cuore Aperto seeks to make complex medical history accessible to a wider audience while highlighting the profound human dimension behind every transplant.
Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori
I am featured among 80 contemporary artists for my work Papé Satan, inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, exhibited at the seventeenth-century Villa de Claricini Dornpacher (Cividale del Friuli, IT) from June to September 2021 in Dante: Between Shadows and Lights, curated by Boris Brollo, Giancarlo Caneva, Carlo Motta, Giuseppe Siano, and Leo Strozzieri. My work is included in the exhibition catalog published by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori. I was also mentioned by journalist Daniela Paties Montagner in Paese Roma (July 2021) and Ozerokomo (October 2021), key references for Italian lifestyle in the Russian cultural scene.
Art and circular economy
In 2019, I explored sustainability and circular economy through the reinterpretation of the Greek myth of Persephone. Four paintings (ink on paper) visualize landfilling as nature’s death and recycling as rebirth, integrated into a multimedia narrative with music. This project was presented at the Artem Organizational Creativity and Sustainability international conference (Technische Universität Chemnitz & ICN Business School, DE) and is available on B-Nature’s YouTube channel.
