This painting of Jerusalem, created for a private commission, is a kaleidoscopic vision of the city: an explosion of colors, contrasts, and symbols that overlap to form a living mosaic. It marks my first interpretation of what will later become my URBS series—cities reimagined through a pop lens, where sacred, historical, and urban dimensions merge into vibrant, pulsating images.
Here, Jerusalem is not represented with documentary fidelity, but as a spiritual and emotional map, where each color is a trace of memory, energy, and inner resonance. It is a city that breathes in layers: ancient and contemporary, mystical and everyday, sacred and pop.
